Organization Development     Consultation By E-Mail and Phone

Your Situation

1. You are about to begin an improvement effort. It may be around increasing the capacity of the organization for the incorporation of new employees/members or starting a strategic vision process or looking at ways to make better use of your physical space. You are generally confident about the ability of the organization's leaders for managing the effort. But you would like to have a professional consultant walk through the plan with the leaders and check in during the process.

OR

2. As a  leader you see the need for a one-to-one consultation around your leadership role. There may be an especially difficult issue facing the organization or you simply se it as a way to stretch yourself.

OR

3. You are a consultant working with an organization. You would like to have a "shadow" consultant with whom you could explore your role and test out possible interventions.

Consultation By E-Mail and Phone

Work with ODCT to create an e-mail and phone consultation process. This is a relatively low cost method of accessing professional consultation services. Here's how you can arrange it.

1. Send an e-mail message to ODCT  indicating your desire for such a consultation. Include the following information:

                 a. Your name, e-mail address and phone number
b. The name and address of your organization
c. Describe the project
d. What kind of consulting assistance do you want?

2. ODCT will respond with an agreement for the consultation (if we do not think we can help or if we think that the work requires on-site consultation, we will tell you; we will suggest other resources we may be aware of). The response will include information on estimated costs.

3. The consultation continues with exchanges of e-mail or phone conversations.

The Details: Costs, Standard Conditions, etc.

1. Minimum Time & Cost: All E-Mail consultations are a minimum of 6 hours (preparation, contact, follow up) at a fee of $600. If more time is needed the client may contract for an hourly rate ($125) or for additional units of six hours (at $600). If the contracted time is not made use of within one year the consultation is closed. Fees are not returned. Expense, if any, are billed.  Costs of any phone consulting are kept on the client's phone bill.

2. ODCT will send occasional reminders to the client about the time available in a contract. It is up to the client to take the initiative in making use of the time.
