Organization Development Efforts with Clients

WomenRising, Inc. (formerly - The YWCA of Hudson Country - Jersey City) -- WomenRising provides resources to women and families coping with a variety of life issues -- domestic abuse, child care, affordable housing, troubled teen girls, training and work experience/internships for women transitioning from welfare to work, and youth entrepreneurship training. The work with WR was wide ranging and over many years. It included increasing the participation and sense of responsibility of managers and other staff in decision-making, establishing training programs, improving team work, and transitions in leadership.

The Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey-  is a statewide association of over 200 non-profit affordable housing and community development corporations, individuals, and other organizations that support the creation of housing and economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income community residents. The work included staff training and the facilitation of board retreats
Greater Trenton Behavioral HealthCare - (formerly The Greater Trenton Community Mental Health Center) - GTCMHC provides a broad array of mental health and addictions services to youth and adults.  Services include intensive day treatment; crisis-oriented outreach and in-home services; outpatient services; and a variety of services for people with special needs. The work involved consulting with the board overall system development and its team work.
Tom's of Maine - Tom's is a values centered company producing natural health and personal care products. This involved working with top managers to generally increase the empowerment of employees, team work among employees, and productivity in decision-making and meetings.
St. James Parish - St. James is an Episcopal church on Capital Hill in Washington, DC. It has a tradition of rich worship, deep spirituality, progressive social involvement and diversity and high commitment in its membership. The work with Saint James' had been primarily in facilitating a yearly leadership conference using organization development methods. For the past year we have been engaged in a merger exploration with Saint Monica's Church.
